I trust platinum games to follow up Bayonetta 1 and 2 with a game that keeps its fans in mind. One thing I learned from the buildup and launch of other games is that a game can succeed in surprising ways through the intersection of many mechanics that don't seem that great on paper, but really gel when put together. It looks simplified and the HUD looks dumbed down

I think a different VA can do a good job at capturing Bayonetta, and I'm not afraid to accept it. Besides, James Bond has been portrayed by many actors who bring their unique flair to the character. But then I learned that Atsuko Tanaka was reprising her role, and I always enjoyed playing the games in the Japanese language as well. I'll admit, at first, I was very upset about Hellena Taylor being out. Kamiya is very artistic and I trust that whatever they go for it will end up looking good. But, I'd also point out that sometimes there are other ways to make a game beautiful. I think for starters bayonetta can appear how she wants, and if she's found a way to use umbran magic while maintaining coverage, that's fine by me. I really find it hard to believe they'll not have anything like that for fans of older designs. But more to the point: every Bayonetta game has had the old appearances available with a few halos, not to mention many playable characters and costumes. there might be changes to hair and makeup etc. I had some thoughts on this I wanted to sum up because I think some of it is way overblown: I've seen a lot of posts on social media expressing anxiety about whether Bayonetta 3 will be bad based on the trailer.
